QUILTY365 (Dec 2015)
The flowers are blooming!
Each one represents a week.
Each one represents a week.
So far, I've kept to two sizes: 24cm/9.5" and 18cm/7".
There is no particular order to the layout of flowers.
It'll all be random.
I found out after applique-ing this first flower that
I had sewn it on the WRONG side of the cloth!
So ~ unpicked and re-appliqued this again on the right side.
I'm glad I spotted the mistake after the first flower.
Imagine if I'd noticed after the 10th flower!
Imagine if I'd noticed after the 10th flower!
Week Two |
Week Three |
The tatted centres are not sewn on yet.
I keep changing my mind about which colour to use!
They will most likely be the last thing I sew on.
Week Four |
Week Five |
Now that the shops are having post-Christmas sales,
I might venture out to buy thread for tatting.
Need more colours!
One more look at the flowers so far:

I love where this is going, and your tatted flower centers are the perfect touch of whimsy.
ReplyDeleteWonderful version of the Quilty 365! Love those tatted centers.:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful version of the challenge. One flower per week. So much fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a uniquely beautiful take on Quilty 365. I love that you've organized weekly flowers and the tatted centers are the cherry on top! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI knew I would like this! The tatted centres are fab (and make me think I should add tatting to my mental list of things I wish I could do...). I also like how you've shared a little bit of each day in this post.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous already! The multicoloured tatting is very sweet too.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm not sure I can tell the difference between the front and back of your fabric! Is the colour brighter on the front? It looks like a nice weave either way. :D
Oh I love your flowers. What a great idea. I love the journaling as well. Can't wait to watch your progress.
ReplyDeleteAn inspired idea and so beautiful with the flower centres like that : )
ReplyDeleteDelightful : )
